So far this is my second mx1000, the first one died after 3min of use. This one seems to have no problems other than the fact the battery just doesn't last. I use my mouse 15 hours a day which is double of what is considered "normal use", however on a full charge i get about 4 days of battery life. After the first day of using it the first bar dissapears. Does this seem like normal battery life expectancy for the ammount of time I use the mouse?

15 hours a day

Anyways, the first and last bar go by quickly. Usually the second bar stays the longest so the battery meter is not very accurate.

On my mouse, I use it about 5-6 hours a day and can get it to last for roughly 18 days. So your duration might be normal?

Sorry for not being much help. Just wanted to add my experiences with the mouse.

Just wondering why not stick it in the charger every night when you go to sleep?

Also, even if the charge lasts only a couple days with 15 hours of use (60 or so hours according to you) thats still a long time on batteries. Dont worry about.

consideing you use double the amount of use most people do, your battery should only last that long, which is very good considering most other mice. For all that use I hope you are using a soft mouspad or somethin cause that thing will be wiped out on the bottom
