MX1000 and diNovo

I currently have a Logitech diNovo and I want to change the mouse to a MX1000. How will I go around doing this. Will there be two different receivers? Will there be driver issues and interference from the two receivers? Etc Etc

You will have two different recievers. The MX1000 is a radio frequency mouse, much like the MX700, the DiNovo is a Bluetooth keyboard and operates on a totally different / incompatible frequency. You shouldn't have any issues with signals crossing, etc as they use two completely different areas of the spectrum. As far as software compatibility goes, looking on Logitechs website shows me that the DiNovo and the MX1000 both use the same drievr package, setpoint. The DiNovo ships with v1.05 which has the Bluetooth functionality built into it. The newest version of setpoint is 2.11. 2.11 does not have the Bluetooth functionality included, but that will carry over from 1.05, which Logitech says should NOT be uninstalled before installing 2.11 so as to keep the Bluetooth functionality.
