Hello

In the manual for the mouse, it says to place the base station (charger) away from electrical devices (monitor and I'm ASSUMING speakers too) about 8 inchs.

Does anyone know if this is simply for not damaging those electrical devices or just so that the signal is more clear because it's wireless?

It's a radio signal, the magnetic fields from the monitor and/or speakers can distort said signal causing interference witht he mouse.
