MWB hosing lifetime keys?

Bought and paid key.

Updated to their latest build 2.1.8.1057 and it says my key is invalid.

They give you a choice to get 1 year with a new key or buy another key.

What kind of extortion is this?

Lifetime means fucking lifetime, not a year.

My pro was reduced to the "free" account without real time protection.

Anybody else putting up with this bullshit?

I recommend to stay with build 2.1.6 1022 to avoid this hassle.

It means that someone stole your key and is using it on a ton of other PC around the world. Just contact Malwarebytes for new key. Before Malwarebytes didn't bother with pirates. Now they are trying to give them incentives to buy a legitimate key.

Yeah, sounds like the key may of been shared as is now locked out.

You need to selection option 2.

If you bought an actual key and you can provide the necessary info (electronic receipts, order forms, invoices, credit card info, etc) then obviously they'll provide you with an appropriate key to replace the one that may have been compromised.

But that's something you need to contact Malwarebytes about, not us.

Guess I was tired when I seen what happened on the update.
I chose #2 and now have a new key that is lifetime.

I also read you can deactivate a key to move it to another computer when it dies/ gets old.

I read as well that MWB no longer offers the single lifetime keys, only a 3 pc 1 year like most AV's do.

There are still plenty of boxed 1 year lifetime out there but they will eventually dry up.

Least MWB still honors them, kudos for that.
