Musky's on the move

Looks like 2 -bigadv rigs with some GPU/SMP goodness thrown in.

Very nice.
Let the mowing begin!

After blowing up 3 motherboards and 4 power supplies, I am finally close to full strength. At the moment;

I7 920 @ 3.33, 275 GTX, 8800 GTS, Ubuntu 9.04 -bigadv
I7 920 @ 3.33, 260 GTX 216 running Ubuntu 9.04 -bigadv
I7 920 @ 3.1, Ubuntu 9.04 (430W PSU at the moment after the last PSU failure) -bigadv
Phenom II x4 945 @ 3.3, Win7 64 - Windows SMP
Phenom x4 9950 @ stock 2.6, 8800 GTS, Ubuntu 8.043 LTS desktop - Linux SMP

Nothing new to add this weekend, so I am hoping to optimize overclocks, cooling, etc. They have been behaving very well this week for a change. Assuming I can keep them behaving, I should be close to 95K PPD as they sit.

Let the mowing begin...

Well.... I was a bit off

Well played sir.

Catch me if you can

My wife is going to hate you. Now I have to spend more money to keep you at bay.

Let the chase begin!

Thankfully I have 24 million between you and I so I have a "little" time before I am mowed. I really need to get this other i7 up and running :D

Im guessing with some good overclocks you could add 15k to 25k a day depending on your hardware

Oh, did I forget to mention the fourth I7 920 sitting on my workbench and the dual socket 771 MB on its way? :)

My unofficial goal was to hit 1 million points per week. Still not quite Tiger hunting, but getting close....

I am going to get mowed very soon by you! I'll go ahead and move to the right lane so it is easier for your to get around! heh.

why do i have a feeling that is the true goal?

Uh oh, you could easily get 400mhz+ from each of those cpu's.

Cooling, airflow, and space have been my major limiting factors on clock speeds (having no fricken' clue what I am doing doesn't help, but the nice I7 OC guide linked in other threads looks to be very helpful :D.) After sticking a giant 14" floor fan in front of my dual video card rig (which is running nekid at the moment) and seeing a 10 deg C temperature drop, I am feeling better about my CPU heat sinks being able to handle higher clock speeds. At least that is the theory... ;)

H50s from corsair are one of your best friens on getting heat out of a case in a simple and all in one soulution.

I've got one on my i7 running just under 4.0Ghz and about 68C.

Didn't y'all read the case review and the other case thread? He mentioned buying a lot of cases

anyways, congrats on flipping the switch bro. getting ready to finalize my OC now, aparently P95 crashed lastnight

A little HFM goodness:

musky's farm

Maybe a little over 95K/day. Looks like I'll drop out of the top 10 tomorrow since I don't think any bigadv units are going to send today. I should get 2 tomorrow, though.

I have Cooler Master n520's at the moment, which look like about the best you can get that will fit in a 4U case. I may try a couple of ridiculous 92mm fans on one of them before I scrap them for something else. It looks like they may do pretty well with more airflow.

If you have a place to mount a 120mm fan (even if it is displacing a few empty 5.25 bays) this is the best thing you can do without going crazy on cost for tight spaces.
