Multiple video card question.

I'm aware that running multiple card in SLI/Xfire don't give 100% performance from each card. But what if I get a second video card and have both drive it's own display and I run 2 EVE online client would I get 100% performance from both of them?

If so would it be bad idea to mix and match? Different generation and/or brands?
 
If each card is running a separate instance of the client then you should be able to do that with 100% performance on each card.
 
Yes, each card will run at their full potential if they are not in SLI and each is dedicated to a display.
