I have a 9200 ATI and I can make it so that I can switch between different desktops on one monitor, but can I hook up two different monitors and use it that way??

any help would be appreciated

Did your 9200 come with a DVI-to-VGA adapter? One end will plug into the white DVI-D connector on your video card, and the other end will fit a VGA monitor. Or do you have an LCD with a DVI plug? The 9200 does support two monitors, but you will need the DVI-to-VGA adapter if both monitors are standard CRT monitors using VGA cables.
