Multiple Lan Cards

I have 4 lan cards, same brand (linksys), and I was going to put them in my Asus p5pe-vm mobo and hook up along with the integrated lan to my DSL modem that has 5 ports and see if this will boost my PC's online download times. I am constantly running bitlord with various media and software downloads and I wanted this to help with the load I'm putting on the system. I have a Pentium 4 3.06GHz 533FSB, I just put some Arctic Silver Ceramic compound on the pentium 4 to keep things cool.
 
Using 1 of them might help, as there's no onboard lag associated with an addon PCI card...

But, using all 5 ports is a bad idea. I mean, you're most DEFINITELY limited by your network connection.

Your onboard LAN probably runs at 100 or 1000mbps, each card probably runs at 100mbps, but your incoming line (from the ISP) is probably 1.5, 2.5, 5 or 10mbps at best...

I'm fairly sure the windows network stack will be as limited, regardless of how many controller cards you've got going at once.
