I am in the middle of building my new system and just bought a 74gb WD Raptor 10krpm hdd. I was planning on putting in my old harddrives (40gb 7200rpm Seagate Barracuda and 20gb 7200rpm Maxtor DiamondMax) into the new system as well. Will putting in the old drives slow down overall system performance? I would be using the Seagate and Maxtor both as storage drives, and the WD for the O/S + programs.

Adding drives wont slow down the system overall, besides normal CPU usage if the drives are going to be heavily read/written to.
