I'm going to be building a system that will have 7 HDDs. I plan to use the two headers on the motherboard for 2 drives in RAID1 and then adding a HighPoint Rocket 1520 and a Rocket 1540 controller cards for 6 more SATA ports.

Will I have any confilicts or other problems running these multiple controllers?

Thanks!

You shouldn't have any problems. I can't quite imagine a need for that much space in a desktop machine, but to each his own. Power and heat are going to be your major concerns.

It's for a video surveillance system.

I'm going to run 2x 120GB in RAID1 and 5x 250GB no RAID in a hot swap enclosure.
