multiple fans on one dial?

Hi all. I've got a new antec 300 case and 2 silverstone FM121 120mm fans for the intake. ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999344 for those curious)
They come with a dial.. since i'm putting both of the fans on intake duty, i was thinking it would be better to tie them both into the same dial. My question: is this possible? If so, can i do it just by splicing the wires together or would i need a new dial?

For that matter, is it good to have both of the fans going the same speed? The antec 300 is set up with PSU on the bottom and the fan ports across from it, with fan ports on the side above the cpu and on the back and top of the case.

Forgive my noobishness, i'm rather new at the cooling side of system building.
 
I would like to think that that fan controller can handle two low power fans like those, but you might want to check specs.
