multiple external enclosures?

Hi there, I'm thinking of building a home NAS system, and trying to find an external enclosure that can hold 2+ drives... The only ones I managed to find are the rack mounts, and THOSE are rather expensive... lol All i want is something with an usb 2.0 interface... not even sure if it exists... anyone got any ideas?

You can attach 2 USB2.0 hard drives to this, in addition to the internal one you put inside it. That what you were looking for?

Just curious, but if it's just for NAS wouldn't it be easier (and possibly cheaper) to just buy a few enclosures and plug them all into the network?

Something like this might be what you need. You can put 2 hard drives in it, and connect it to your computer via USB.

Yea, the unit I"m looking to get is something similar -- also by dlink. It's basically the wired version sans the enclosure. Which is why I'm curious to see if I can find a multi-bay external unit that can be hooked up to this via the USB port.

The cooldrive one looks pretty decent thou, if it works w/ this dlink adapter, it could be quite nice. Basically I want this to be my media drive, where I put on all my music/dvds, etc... Plus my other roomates can much easily share stuff on it as well.
