multiple dsl modems?

i have bellsouth dsl.
instead of getting a router and rewiring the house, can i get multiple DSL modems, one for each room where i have a computer?
 
Would get pretty expensive..have a separate DSL account and phone account for each room. But technically..yes you could do that.

Heck of a lot more efficient to get 1x DSL account (1x modem)..and use a router to share it to each room.
 
No reason why you can't go wireless. a Local network and filesharing obviously aren't large concerns.

Just pick up a wireless modem and pci card for each pc. Try to get a router and cards with detachable antennas so you can upgrade the antenna if needed.
