I bought a MSI HD6950 to run a multiple monitor setup and eyefinity setup. I have three monitors with VGA and HDMI only. With two plugged in to the two DVI ports each works find. Using a Mini DP to VGA doesn't work (Encore brand from newegg) and using an Active Mini DP to DVI and a DVI>HDMI cable I can only get 800x600 to display.

So...
Monitor 1 - DVI>HDMI works
Monitor 2 - DVI>HDMI works
Monitor 3 - MDP>DVI>HDMI doesn't work (Sapphire active adapter)

So I think I may head to Best Buy to pick up a Dynex MDP to VGA to see if it will work. This thing is really starting to make me mad.

I am using a ACTIVE mini dp to dvi. Using a dvi to dvi cable works but using a dvi to hdmi cable does not. I thought both of these were electrically the same (minus the audio).
