multiple directx instances?

Hi, I usually run a directx game in the background that I act as a trade/buff bot etc. However, it prevents me from playing another directx game it seems. OGl works just fine though. I was wondering if there's a way around this? I do hear of people who play that game saying they can alt tab and play other games fine, but it doesn't seem to be the case for me.
 
If you want to run 2 applications that both use Direct3D you have to use Vista.

Solution: Don't run bots in games. They ruin it for everyone.
