Multimonitor, TV output distortion

Hi Hi all,
I've been tinkering with a multimonitor setup -- Sony SDM-S73 as my primary (1152*864 at 75 Hz through vga) and a Sony TV, Model No. KV27V40 (1024*768 at 60 Hz through s-video) as my secondary -- on an MSi 6800 GT. I've been able to setup the second monitor in Dualview mode -- simple enough -- but only after unplugging the COAX cable from the back of my TV.

You see, when any input is being made from my cable television provider (as in the COAX cable) the signal from the PC to the TV becomes distorted, with the picture aqcuiring horizontal, rolling lines. No COAX = No distortion. Also, when the COAX is unplugged and the TV is hooked up to the the pc, the other video channels (ie video 2), become distorted, even though the PC to TV connection remains clear.

I've used my computer with another, newer tv and the picture on that seems fine, COAX and all. May this be a problem with my TV alone and has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
