I have just finished buying all the parts I need to get the new rig fully watercooled, but I'm not 100% sure what the best way of putting them together is. The parts I have (all 1/2" ID fittings) are:
Swiftech MCP655 Pump
Swiftech 5.25" bay res
Swiftech Storm CPU block
Alphacool NexXxos NB Sli Chipset block
Dangerden Maze4 GPU block
10' (just in case!) Tygon tubing
4' Clearflex 1/2" tubing (horrible chunky stuff, but a little bit wider ID than Tygon)
Black Ice Extreme II radiator (rad1)
Black Ice Extreme I radiator (rad2)
4 'Y' splitters
Because the chipset block has like 2 or 3mm holes, I'm guessing it is going to impede flow a lot. Not sure about the Maze4, but it probably offers little flow resistance.
I'm just not knowledgable enough to know which of the options below (if any) is best :
1.Use all 4 splitters to run each block in parallel.
2.Use 2 splitters to run a gpu->chipset route and a cpu only route.
3.Use 2 splitters and run the chipset on it's own and a cpu->rad2(?)->gpu route.
4.Use no splitters and go cpu->rad2(?)->gpu->chipset
BTW the loop starts: res->pump->rad1 (but you probably already guessed that)
And the ?'s are because I don't know if it's worth using the 2nd radiator or not (it was lying around after I dismantled my Waterchill, so I changed the fittings to 1/2" barbs.
The tubing runs are fairly small, as rad1 is mounted at the front of the case - an Aerocool CM-stacker ripoff

Rad2 would be mounted at the back using the radbox (I can fit it inside but I guess it's better off outside).
I really don't want to trial-and-error through this, so hopefully one of the experts here in the forum can help me out.
