As part of the deal announced by Viacom last week, the company has decided to forego a deal with YouTube and make videos from its websites available to everyone. Last week it was The Daily Show and the Colbert Report, this week it is MTV that will be offering up the videos.

Viacom, owner of MTV Networks and the Paramount movie studio, had been planning for this move months before it demanded earlier this month that YouTube remove more than 100,000 unauthorized Viacom video clips from its site, after failing to reach a distribution deal.
