Going to pick up a 6850 in the coming week for my SFF build. I WAS going to choose the MSI board but I got sick over the weekend and missed out on the $138 AR+free shipping deal.
Here are the contenders:
MSI: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127576
Sapphire: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908
HIS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161348
They are all at the $155 AR price point. I chose these three for comparison because they only require one 6-pin power connector as opposed to other models that require 2. I have excluded XFX because another [H] reader recently had trouble with them mis-marketing non-reference boards as reference boards, and I'd like to show a little solidarity by voting with my wallet.
Do any one of these manufacturer's have a better track record with ATI/AMD products? Would the lack of a shroud on the MSI board lead it to run hotter or cooler in the cramped environment of an air cooled SFF case?
