I've always purchased EVGA video cards and motherboards because of there outstanding commitement to service. I purchased a new gtx 470 months back and the HDMI port never worked so I'm finally getting around to RMA. It's been already 3 days since they had my card so I decided to call them up and find out how much longer until they ship another one out. They tell me it can take 10 day for them to ship a card back out. Is this normal of most video card manufacturers and I'm just spoiled from EVGA's customer service.

Right now I just need to get a card back so I'd be ok even with a 560 TI.

PC service is what I do, and dealing with customer RMA is a large part of my day. Manufacturers aren't bound by any external service guarantee, and I have seen RMA take anywhere from 2 days to 8 weeks. Replacements are also usually refurbished, and replacement models are at the discretion of the manufacturer. While some companies (eg: Logitech) seem to be faster than others (eg: Razer), there is little to no consistency; it's entirely case by case.

Hope you get your new card soon dude.

most rma's that I have done take about 2 weeks. from the time I shipped it to the time I get it back.

I did a 3870X2 thru MSI a while back and It was about a 3 week turnaround. They emailed me when they got it, emailed me when they tested it and then again with a tracking number when they sent another one back to me. EVGA has that advanced RMA setup working for them. I wished more manufacturers did that myself but my dealings with MSI was a good one compared to ASUS (time wise that is). ASUS took almost a month and a half on a motherboard BUT I didn't expect it to be over night either. Both made good on their products though. :)
