Has anyone seen this yet? Looks like a barebones/mITX system.

They sold me with the overclocking button! Reminds me of the old "turbo" button on some PCs from back in the day :p

Kinda like the styling (other than the red dragon crap), and really like the integrated shovel chin/carry handle. Bet this will sell nicely, if it's actually small and light enough (looks a tad too big, and probably heavy steel).

According to MSI UK, the Nightblade launches on March 6th. Also found these other pics..

And oddly, they chose to use an ASUS GPU card here, as you can see it has caught the entire rig on fire.. :D

I particularly like the handle, hope it works well!

My recent build used this MSI motherboard, MSI vid card, would have been tempted by this case if I had known it was coming.

My SG05 is a whole lot smaller though, 10 liters instead of 16 for the MSI.
But that handle!

~17 Liters. Layout-wise, looks like a wider and flatter SG08 on its side, but with the main intake moved to the back.

I wonder if the 175mm height is enough for your typical 120mm tower coolers.

The main problem I have is the $599 price before anything else. Also there's very little info on the 600W PSU.

I really like this minus the interior look and that design on the side panel. Too bad this thing is crazy expensive.

lol. am i supposed to be impressed? it looks like some thermaltake crap, actually, worse lol.

Reminds me of Western Digital Sentinel or many of the other ugly NAS out there.

It has nothing against the normal cases out there.
Much easier to buy a pre-built system from one of the larger store. The you get a nice case and certainly the same amount of power as the Nightblade but for sure for less money.

For a premium barebone system to be worthwhile, it should at the very least come with a superb cooling solution custom-tailored to the motherboard and case.

Now I'm not sure if I would pay $600 for a mass-produced or crowd-funded version of the Steam Machine prototype barebone (mobo, case, PSU, cooling), but at least I can clearly see the added-value there from the custom cooling ducts.

Where does that price come from? If it is indeed true, then it is fail. I think it uses 0.6mm steel. I base that on "armchair assessment" using the pics showing the ODD bay which looks like it was stamped and riveted.

For the price ($599), it should at least include the motherboard. In comparison, the ASRock M8 case, designed by BMW, featuring a great dial controller with display, a motherboard, and psu is only $550 retail ($470 on Newegg). It even has handles too!!!]

It does include a motherboard. Its being sold as a barebones computer.
