MSI Neo 2 Problem...

Alright, So my friend has this MSI Neo2 with some nice config...

3.2 with 1 gig of Corsair LowLatency Plat.
SATA HD
ATI 9800 Pro...

Anyways, I wonder if this is a common problem for this particular Mobo, but its running into some errors that I haven't seen before.

First It restarts trying to check NVRAM during BIOS boot, IF it restarts, it'll keep restarting until i cold reset. Once i cold reset. everything load up and fianally into windows.

Second, I can Specify Ram Timings BUT it reverts back to SPD after NVRAM fails once. So... Its Really Annoying. and it seesm like there's nothing Non-Volitile about it.

Lastly, I updated to the Newest BIOS, and still having the Same Issues.

I need some first hand intell. I personally would never buy a MSI board, but i mean this kid has it. and I'm just trying to help him out. Anyone familiar with this odd problem?
 
if i can remember correctly to back when that board first came out that it did have problems keeping the memory timings set in the bios, so that is one issue i know of.

however i've never heard/read anything about the NVRAM problem.

and i also remember that that board was one of the worst boards you could buy of the 875 chipset :p - i wouldn't recommed it to anyone, it had a lot of issues.
 
i have the neo fis2r and its rock solid

i havent had any problems with it at all...

try updating the bios
 
i thought i mentioned that it was lated bios... I duno why this kid got a MSI board... I went looking online on other forums, I never liked MSI boards but after looking at other posts, I hate MSI... It has a lot of issues with Ram Timings, and Some GAY ASS overclocking features...

Anyways, I gotta meet up with this kidd and run some memtest... hopfully i'll get something.

Yea, but it seems that i know more people who have problems with this board, then the people who are actually happy with it...

I've ran memtest, and prime, all No fail... its just starting up NVRAM... Restart. and repeat... very annoying... Cosair 3200LLPT and a Whole gig of it, I know that ram can run 2522 if it wanted to, and SPD never sets ram timings that low, its just the issue with this board, i dunno what's wrong with it,

flashed Bios again this time in windows, it seems to restart Only ONCE now, which is still annoying.. well, really isn't my computer so i'm not Jumpy and pissed off about it, tho i would like to correct the problem.
