MSI is showing off a laptop with a special “theme” that targets women. The hardware specs are decent but the painting / color scheme makes it painfully obvious that this is intended for female owners.

*shrug* I would not turn down a wager involving my male hubris and me carrying around that latop for free. I'll just ware scarves and claim I am a film major! tada!

Why did they put the vga port on the side?

Seems like a very wierd spot.

Oh, and it's very ugly.

I could find a thousand pictures on deviantart that would put that image to shame.

The diamonds are the cherry on top.

heh, the first thing I noticed in that pic, is that the stand used is the same one zalman used to display the jumbo CNSP-9500 before it was released :D

So all I have to do to make women carry me around is paint purdy pictures on my shirt. See you guys later, I'm off to the paint store!

Nothing a little bit of painting skillz wouldm't take care of. Looks like the only thing with the image (which look god awfull ugly) is the top. sand, primer, paint.

Cheapest... sales stunt... EVER.
Hoorah, you can screen print an image on top (only) of a laptop. That's freaking weak, man.

My wife carries my Compal HEL-81 to school and refused to allow it to be skinned. She prefers the brushed aluminum case. Go figure.

Well, they do make a pretty good laptop. I have the S270, and my brother has the S271. They've been solid so far with zero problems. Still, the overlay on the lid looks cheezy, and of course it won't sell. If they wanted it to appeal to women or look gay, make it look more like a mac.

P.S. That MSI print looks like it belongs on the cover of the following products:

Birth control pill container (or insert other female pharmaceuticals, such as hormones, calcium supplements

Tampax(tm)

Any product that is supposed to imply "feminine empowerment" --but in a gentle way!

No offense to the female members of the forums --it just seems like a "jump on the bandwagon" effort without much thought into true design/features that would appeal to women. I think it's going to flop.

"So what's "feminine protection" anyway? A chartreuse flamethrower?" -Portnoy, Bloom County comic strip (yes, I know I'm dating myself)
