There are 2 different revisions of this motherboard. I think I have the older one. I intially purchased 2x512MB of memory for the board thinking that would be enough for what I do. I started playing WoW and needed another 2x512MB of RAM and didn't relized my memory speed would be decreased.

My questions are:

Why does the speed decrease when you have 4x512MB rather then 2x1GB?
Will MSI ever release a BIOS upgrade to fix this problem (I am running a X2 3800+)?
Does the newer revision board fix this problem?
How much of a speed decrease is there, will I even notice it?
 
There are very few nf4 boards that don't take a memory speed hit when running 4 sticks(instead of 2). Just one of the many reasons people have been clamoring for 1gig sticks with good timings.
