MSI K8N Neo FSR / Palermo compatibility

Hello, I just received this board and it says MS 7030 Version 1.
The problem is I have a new Palermo core socket 754 Sempron 3000+ and it
may not be compatible with the shipping bios the I have on my board. Question
is if this is indeed true, what can I do to get up and running? Is there a way to get a
new bios flashed before you boot to the OS? thanks....

Well if that is one of the new revision E core Semprons you may or may not have a problem. If you can borrow a CPU with a core you KNOW is supported and flash it to the newest 1.5 bios you may have luck.

There is also a good chance it will still boot with the new CPU core but just may not be recognized. If it does boot, boot to a floppy and flash the bios from there and you should be set.

However, I am not sure if the newest 1.5 bios even supports the CPUs you mention. I would fire an email off if I were you to their tech support and see what they say.
