HI All Happy New Year:
I am new to the site and I have a question to ask everyone.
Background information first on the old motherboard
I use to have an asus motherboard that I purchased from Directron out of Texas. The board was an P5vd2-x. I had an Intel Pentium D 820 on the board and the Memory was 1 gig of kingston ddr2533. The problem started sometime time after Halloween I was getting 2 beeps on my board. The system locked up on me. i couldn't do alt ctl dlt nor I couldn't get into safe mode I reformatted the pc and it still froze and beeped twice I replaced the ram and the video card and the hard drives are new and it still crashed I sent the board back to Directron and they said it was fine. I got the board back a week before Christmas and I plugged everything in and it still crashed. I took the board to both Best Buy and Compusa and they said that the board was damaged and it was best if I returned it to Directron
Update I have an MSI motheboard K8MM3 and I have an AMD Sempron 2600 which is cooler then the Intel.
The question I have is how good are MSI boards and will I have a problem with it?
I am waiting for Directron to give me a refund for the board which they should get tomorrow.
Thanks
Earthdragon

Generally speaking, MSI makes a fine product ... similar performance to ASUS and aBIT and often a smaller price tag. If you are a hardcore overclocker the MSI BIOS may not deliver all the features you would like. I've never had to deal with tech or customer support from MSI so I can't comment on support after the sale.

Thanks I don't believe in over clocking motherboards I never understood it. I am going to work on the new board this weekend. I hope to be happy with the board and processor soon.:D
