MSI HD 2900XT and bundle pics

The fan on the ATI is smaller than the one on the Nvidia. I think that will attribute to slightly more noise as the Nvidia based cards are quiet with their fan at the size they are.

I was interested to notice they bundle the 8-pin PCI-E adapter! No need for that new PSU just yet.;)

Nice it still has component out. I thought they might eliminate that because they have HDMI, but its nice to see its still there. Also I wonder how they get sound into the HDMI if its an adapter over the DVI?

And I laughed when we all saw pictures of the future 2900XT cooler and it looked exactly like the 8800's, it seemed like such an obvious rip-off fake....

If that was true... what else will be true....

I wish eVGA would make ATi cards.

Question: Since it comes with the power adapter, do you think I could get away with using the PSU in my sig?

I dunno if XFX does ATI cards but would be nice to have those 3 do both... Also would be nice if Evga offered step-up between them hehe.

Is that a coupon for HL2: First Episode, Portal and Team Fortress 2? If it is for the full versions of those games.... If the HD 2900 XT has some decent preformance I may be moved to get it

T-T dam I was hoping to get one of the editors to at least confirm that or deny it.

Well, with a nice long handle with P's and E's, I's, S's and N's, it had better be a nice package, hadn't it? :p

So you would buy the card because it comes with games?

This is a close-up of the vents in the back of the MSI HD 2900 XT card. My X1950 XT is the same and I'm very interested in finding a similiarly designed fan for my Shuttle. My case already gets very warm during full-load use and I'm just looking for ways to remove hot air rising off my GPU without it being blasted out inside the interior. If the fan on this card exhausts the hot air out the rear of the video, I'll be seriously looking into getting one.

edit: fixed hosting

As already pointed out, if the thing has comparable preformance to a GTS, I would most likely buy the 2900 XT over it, considering how much value the software bundle is.

looks like your X1950XT will also have the same or similar performance to the 2900 XT.:p

thats odd... its kick ass with out AA but turn the AA on and it starts taking a nose dive
this is not what i expected
odd... i thought with less ROPs and more bandwith it would do well with LOTS of aa at lower res then top out and AA wouldnt take the big of a frame rate hit....

well just have to wait for hardocps review to see whats realy up at greater then 1600x1200

Weird isn't it. Looks like R600 drivers are going to need a lot of coaxing to make these things shine. Wondering just what it is holding these things back.....hopefully its not a hardware bottleneck.

this may have been asked before ..is hd2900xt using dvi to hdmi so not totally hdmi to hdmi?

you know, even at 16 ROPs its fill rate will be more than GTX if core is oc to 1000mhz. I dont know how many TMU's it has, anyone know?
