Does anyone know if the 3 year warranty on the MSI GTX 570 is still valid if the factory heatsink is removed and replaced if service is needed like what is done for watercooling?

my guess is that if you can tell its been takin apart and modified that the warrenty would pry by void. but if you can put the original heatsink back on and there was no void sticker than your pry ok.

I am not going to chance it.
I would rather play it safe until the warranty is up. I think that the 570 GTX may be just getting by at that time and may in need some OC assistance.

You do realized a simple phone call or email would get you the answer you need. I understand you can come on a forum and ask others from experience, but would that even help? Send an email/call & get the answer you're looking for.

Also, you can do what I did which is check their website under the warranty section.

The MSI product MUST be free of any physical damage due to improper installation or modification of ANY kind (this includes installing aftermarket parts) or the warranty WILL be VOID.

You can learn more about it by following this link.

Free of physical damage due to a modification, not implicitly free of ever having had any modifications. A bit ambiguous that.
