MSI ends AMD GPU partnership due to poor sales

Let’s hope, because competition is good.

I tried one in a local store while I was picking up a different item. I could see what GN was talking about with the mushy buttons, and what was most odd about that is that the shoulder buttons were mushy, but the others felt ok, so there’s a consistency problem in the feel of it. Beyond that though, the hardware having the issues it has in terms of performance makes it an absolute non-starter.

Incidentally, the guys at the store told me no one is buying it. I’ll be curious to see what the overall sales figures are for the unit, and what the P&L is for MSI. I have no doubt that Intel gave quite a bit of marketing co-op funds to support the unit, since they no doubt wanted an entry in the mobile gaming space and needed a major brand partner to help promote it.
