I'm not sure what the issue with my card is, but games that used to run at 60fps and above now have trouble hitting 30fps. I also notice that my card used to idle at 41C on average and would increase to about 49C in game, but now idles at 36C and doesn't change when I go in game. Is my card somehow being limited or did part of it fry and die?

btw I did not change any of the settings in my games, I also tried installing the newest drivers and reinstalling windows

Are the clock speeds even going up or is it stuck in 2D mode? That is what I am thinking, make sure it is set on Performance rather than Adapative under Power options.

To set it to performance do I turn off Link State Power Management for PCI Express? I don't see anythign else that allows me to adjust the video card performance. As for clock speeds, it stays at 400mhz even while I'm in game

No, under the Nvidia Control Panel, go to Power Management Mode and set it to performance. Also check GPU-z to make sure you are running at full PCI Express speeds

Ok I set it to performance and GPU-Z tells me that my PCI-Ex16 is running at x16. The core clock doesn't change from 400mhz at all when I am in game still. Any other suggestions?

I've tried Skyrim, Arkham City, and The Witcher 2. All used to run fine, but now have extremely low fps. I didn't change the settings at all for any of these games. I've noticed that even though I set my max core to 800mhz and max shader to 1600mhz, my card doesnt even get close to those limits. In game it stays at a static core 400mhz and shader 800mhz.

What driver revision? There have been occasional complaints in the official forums about cards that fail to spool up for 3D mode. Not too many though. Does it work with trusty 275.33?

Thanks for the help. I got it fixed. My dual monitor setup somehow messed it up. I replugged the monitors and the card working fine now.

I remember sometimes my card would be stuck at its clocks, usually only a reboot fixed it. I also used Dual monitors so that seems to cause some issues.
