Msi 9800 Pro

lol yea they all say its great. I was going to go with nvidia 5900xt but my firend said i would get more bang out of a 9800pro and he said it would last longer.
 
hsf looks much better than stock 9800pro.. i might get it if i get 9800pro, i dont wanna put another zalman. has anyone flash this card with 9800xt bios?

since msi doesnt make 9800xt u have to flash with other brand 9800xt bios with same mem type. it would help if u get fast ns ram n r360 gpu.

almsot all MSI cards come with an R360 core though, plus they all ship with LOW NS ran, (probably 2.2 or 1.6) they can easily be flashed to 9800XT and then overclock some more.

the only thing you will be missing is overdrive because MSI modified the board a bit and took out the temp sensor.
 
whats the point of bio-ing it to 9800xt when already in desktop mode it shows it as a 9800xt?

The system is reporting it as XT but the BIOS does not have the XT shaders unlocked.
 
I don't feel like detaching the h/s fan.. any other way I can make this work??
to make it a real xt?
