MSI 745 Ultra

Hi,

I have a MSI 745 Ultra and I am overclocking my Duron (Applebred) 1.6Ghz on it. I'm at a point where my RAM is becoming a limitation (so far stable at 166MHz on BurnMMX (64MB) test). I've tried the divider in the BIOS but the board doesn't seem to want to post with the divider in place. I tried it at 173/179/183 Mhz with the 5/4 divider. I assume the problem occurs at other FSBs.

Also, I've noticed that at 200FSB, the PCI divider doesn't change. It still uses the 1/5 divider, whereas I was expecting the 1/6 divider.

I am using the latest BIOS version (v1.7). The CPU is not a limitation, it'll survive a run of BurnK7 at normal priority easily. The multiplier is locked and I have not attempted to enable the extra 192KB of cache. Temperatures hit around 53-54°C at the highest speed I could get the Duron to boot into Windows at (2148 MHz), so the processor itself has a lot of headroom.

I'd really like to continue to keep pushing this Duron further.
