Hey whats up guys im sure you know that Windows XP has msconfig where you can disable programs from starting up at boot. I have recently changed to 2000 Professional and there is no 'msconfig' and I have various programs starting up that I dont want to boot up. I've looked around and searched and I cant seem to find out what the command is.

Please post an alternative,
Andrew

do what i did, copy the msconfig file from a xp machine and place it in the winnt/system32 folder of win2k. if u get the file from a 9x machine, itll work 2, but ull get an error whenever u start it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT VERSION\RUN

That's where all the programs reside in on bootup.
