MS word and password protection

In the Save As menu click the drop down arrow next to tools and select security. Enter your password there.
 
Check your PM for example or http://rapidshare.com/files/20377828/Password_Protect.avi.html

1. On File Menu select "Tools" then "Options"
2. Select "Security Tab"
3. Enter Password to be used then click "OK" then confirm Password, click "OK"
4. Select "File" from menu then "Save As" then "Save"

This is what I have done, but when I reopened it , it did not ask me for password!!!!

I tried this as well which is same as :

The one thing you might have to do is repair install of Office. If you dont originally do full install and leave out some components, some things wont work. For instance spell check will not work if you deselect during installation "Shared Office Tools". Sorry you are having a difficult time :( We make it sound so easy huh?
