MS intellimouse optical dpi?

Logitech MX500/510 - 800 DPi.
Razer Viper Optical - 1,000 DPi.
Microsoft Intelliexplorer - 400 DPi.

[I bought the Razer Viper Optical for myself. The Razer is subjective due to people's feeling of comfortability of the mouse and if they can live with three buttons (I can-- I never use any other buttons].

[The Microsoft Intelliexplorer is still a great gaming mouse though. I'm using one now (Intelliexplorer 3.0 though) and it's served me for years now].

I bought this mouse from newegg, the intellimouse explorer 4.0:

I cant say I have many complaints about it, many people think that the smooth scrolling is bad for gaming because it is to sensetive when switching weapons but trust me, you get used to it pretty fast. You really can't go wrong for the price, I play UT2k4 and CoD mostly and it works great for them...

Never got a chance to try out a logitech MX series mouse but I hear that they kick ass...

Yes, the newest 4.0 has an upgraded 800 DPi optical engine as well.
