MS Access Database question

For work they want me to create a DB with Access2000 that they can update from a web based form. Access has a thing built into that lets me creat a web page from the data and I can update it from there but I was wandering if there was a better way to do it. I'm stuck using Access and I think the web server we have is running IIS 6. Any suggestions?
 
hmmm ... i don't recall access 2000 databases supporting an online version of the access form. now that i think about, i don't recall hearing any version of access supporting an online form made in access (local forms, yes, but not online webpage driven accesss-created forms). i'll have to look into that for my own knowledge ...

getting back on topic ... my only suggestion is to learn "dot net" (that is, if you already haven't). communicating with an access database is a very well-documented process through online tutorials and paperback books. since you already have a windows server 2003 box, you'll have a production environment. i'd suggest getting a machine with xp *pro* on it for local testing and development.

from my own personal and work experience, a client will each have their own unique and specific requirements and validations that must take place prior to data being written to the database, and an access form is 99% of the time not able to handle the task. additionally, i feel better having the physical separation of the database from the application.
