In Internet Explorer, clicking on most sorts of video/audio files used to cause them to beging loading, and begin playing at the same time. So as long as the file was sending fast enough, I could click on an mpeg or whatever and begin watching it almost instantly.
For some reason, this no longer happens, and left clicking on a file results in it loading entirely before playing. Are there any settings in IE or in Windows (Vista) which will change this?
Note that I'm not referring to streaming video in general which has a player which appears in the browser window, but instead to clickable links to mpegs and wmv's and such.
