MPC wont open, error "AVIFIL32.DLL"....

Everything was working fine, I played a video, closed MPC, then tried to open it again to play something else and this error pops up: "The Procedure entry point AVIStreamInfoW could not be located in the dynamic link library AVIFIL32.dll."

I tried deleteting MPC and all my codecs (ffdshow, ac3filter, hms) then rebooting, upon reinstalling everything, MPC still gave me the same error. I then tried to delete this AVIFIL32.dll in the WINDOWS/System32 folder but Windows says I need permissions to do so. Funny.. seeing as how I'm the Admin on this machine...

Anyway, where do I go from here? Thanks.
 
Simply deleting the file may not solve your problem. It sounds as though you need to take ownership of the file. Just right-click on the file and you'll see an option to take ownership.
