MP3 Question...

I am interested in ripping all my CDs to MP3 format for my use, but one problem lies: copy protection. Are there any CD rippers out there that will take away the CP noise that is associated with ripping or burning? I want something that does at least 128k/sec.

Only "solution" qualified answer I can give you is, using a better cddrive, i know people who can rip CP discs fine with plexter drives.

*note* I heard this only from plexter owners and i dont guarantee anything
 
Mine is a creative 52X, but I do plan on buying a Lite-On 16X DVD-ROM with my new computer... have those had problems??

So there's no software out there that will go past this copy protection? I don't plan on sharing my files, they are for my own use. I have a wireless network at home for my other roommates, and I'm putting together a Jukebox PC / Music Server. I planned on taking all the CDs in the house (about over 1200 of them) and ripping them to the HD.

Yep, EAC or CDex. But you still need a lite-on or plexter. I use perfectly configured EAC 9b4 + a Sony CDRW drive and ripping CP discs for me is not possible
