I hope this is the correct forum.

My question is what MP3 portable boom box is good?
I think only Sony makes one called Sony ZS-X3CP S2 the reviews are poor.
Any others?

I own a Philips CD portable boom box but it’s cr@p! So, I swore off Philips.

That's not an option if I want it all portable. I can't haul around a huge stereo system every where too.
 
I think KoZLoP is saying hookup an MP3 player to a portable stereo (boombox). :cool:

I myself don't know of any portable MP3 boomboxes. I would also have suggested an iPod type device connected to a boombox.
 
Yeah, but most boom boxes do NOT have a line-in only line-out for head phones. If my current Philips boom box had a line-in, I would try it but still. I don't want to spend $400 for an iPod and $100 to $150 for a boom box!

Hack the current one. Pop it open and find a place for a line in ;) Also many boomboxes DO have a line in, just have to find the right one.
