MP3 Batch Editor

Here is my problem. I have over 100 live concerts in mp3 form. Soon I will have an iPod and can't figure out, for the life of me, how to set up iTunes to sort my stuff by filename. This is how I arrange my files:

Phish folder:
Inside the main folder is a folder for each concert by date:
Each mp3 has Phish as the artist, the correct track names, the date as the album, and the file name goes something like this - ph2004-06-19d1t01 (meaning 6/4/04 disc 1 track 1). The mp3's do NOT have track numbers.

So....is there program to look in each folder and add track numbers alphabetically easily? Or is there a way to make iTunes do this for me? (I tried letting it manually organize and it messed up my music.....I'm not doing that again)

in the preferences, uncheck 'copy music to itunes library folder' or something like that.
i would then just make a bunch of playlists and add the files in yourself

I would need a playlist for each concert then (over 100)......I have that box unchecked already.
