Anyone have any experience running FSX on your mac?

How has it performed and what are you using. Mac Pro? Macbook Pro?

Bootcamp? VM-Ware? Or did you just install windows on its own partition?

Thanks!!

...i posted the same thread in the gaming section..i wasnt sure which one would be best...

I havent played with my mac but i know you definedly need real windows installed via bootcamp to have power to run the MS Flight Simulator X. No "real" game runs with vmware. Once you have installed windows and its drivers (comes with bootcamp) i see no reasons why it woudnt run. Aftar all, IT IS a "windows pc" then! Macbook Pro has good enough hardware for it too Mac Pro even more. You did not say how much you have memory but i recommend at least 2 Gigs of RAM. Oh and a USB joystick. Happy flying :)

VMWare couldn't run a 10 year old program that came with FS2002 without running it in 16-bit color on my Macbook. FS2002, Halo, just didn't go. VMWare doesn't support 3D acceleration for Windows, sadly.

Currently its 4gb ram. I hope to be able to run FSX at max settings at 30+ FPS.

We will see...thanks!
