Those of you using Firefox will be happy to know that Mozilla has patched up two major security flaws.

The first flaw, a use-after-free triggered when a <canvas> element is resized (CVE-2015-4497), has been rated critical. An attacker can exploit the vulnerability by setting up a malicious webpage that causes Firefox to crash. The weakness can potentially be exploited to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the attacked Firefox user. The second flaw, rated high-severity, has been described as an add-on notification bypass through data URLs (CVE-2015-4498).

I still get a weird glitch with FF if I leave tabs open too long.
When I open a new blank tab to the screen with your hotlinks it gets gets all black in blocks.
Have plenty of system and GPU memory.
Closing and reopening the tabs fixes the issue for awhile.

I've adjusted the cached web content from 350 to max and it makes no difference.

why is every couple bug fixes a whole new version?

I'm sure you thought that was a witty comment, but with these bug fixes the version number went from 40.0.2, to 40.0.3... Even then, what does the version number matter to you?

After using maps.google.com, using satellite data, then using CTRL+mouse to rotate in 3D, then Firefox will sometimes start drawing black boxes everywhere on other web pages soon after.

This is a little bit of an aside, but am I the only one who noticed that when Firefox 40.0 came out, its full setup file for installation was exactly 40.0 MB. I wonder if they somehow did that on purpose as an Easter Egg of sorts for people like me who noticed oddities like that.

It started to crash on me about 10 times an hour. I am done with it am now using Cyberfox , it has yet to crash.
