I own a Fastora NAS T4, and recently it had hung when I was transferring files. I pressed the power button once to see if it would gracefully shut itself down. This did not work and I had to force it to power off. Ever since, it will not boot and I get no output from the serial console (using Cisco Rollover cable with Cisco DB-9 connector [9600; 8; none; 1; none], which works on other PC's such as dell towers). I was able to mount the flash drive in a laptop running a livecd of FreeBSD and run an fsck on it. it found an error and I fixed it, but it will still not boot. The hard drives are fine, it's just the flash drive that runs the OS.

So my question becomes two-fold. First, is there a way to save my NAS system? And second, can I use a RAID controller (I had it set up in RAID 5) in another system and be able to read the data without losing everything? I have a lot of stuff saved on there that I really don't want to lose.

Thanks
