I want to install all my applications on a new partition. How do I move the program files directory in WinXP?

Are the programs already installed in C and not the new partition?

Unfourtunally you will have to reformat.

When you install a program, it makes changes to the system settings and the registry. Once you have installed a program, the system will always look to the location that you have installed it in. You can't just "move" every single app in your programs file over to a new location. It will majorly screw up your system. If you don't want to reformat, you'll have to uninstall all your apps and install them to the new partition.
