Does anyone know if I sync my iPhone with a new computer (i'm getting rid of the old one) if the contacts will be erased? I assume everything else will be, but I don't want to lose the contacts.
No they don't get erased, you can sync them up with your outlook or contacts.... I've done it.

Just copy the iTunes library folder to the new computer and authorize the computer with the same account.
