Moving back home, need a new audio setup

I'm moving back home for the fall & spring semester.

I don't have near the room I had in my apartment, so I'm having to store my desk. And, unfortunately, with that goes my Klipsch Pro Media 5.1s. (Don't worry, I'm keeping them for the next system I build next fall/winter).

So, I need a new set of speakers.
My requirements:
1. small
2. black
3. Good sound
4. Headphone Jack
5. < $30
6. 2.1 preferred, 2.0 acceptable as well.
7. Power switch and volume button.
8. POWERED.


I'll be playing music on them; and maybe some gaming. I'll spend most of my gaming with my Sennheiser 590 headphones


Also, is there an option for the Audigy2 that is similar to the Versajack for the TBSC?

I'd like to have my headphone/mic plugged in the same time as my 2 channel speakers. Is this possible?



Also, if I'm just going to be using headphones & 2.0/2.1 speakers, what benefit is there to using the Audigy2 vs. the Shuttle's onboard ALC-650 (which will allow me to use my headphones more easily by plugging them into the front)
 
I have the standard altec lansing 2.1's in my dorm room. It sucks that there is not enough room for bigger speakers, but oh well. I think I paid about 40 bucks for them. The are good, and have a headphone jack. THey are powered and, sound pretty good. Logitech has some similar ones, but in this price range, its all about the style--they sound almost all the same.
 
Can't you simply use your ProMedias with only the sub and two sats? I was doing this for a couple years until we moved here and got my office set up using the remaing 3 sats. Sounded just fine. It'll save you $30 and the hassle of shopping for a new set.

BTW, how do you like (love) your 590s? I have a set for gaming as well, and I think they're fantastic. I end up using these almost exclusively instead of the speakers.
 
I won't give up the 590s for anything.



As for using the Klipsch's...I need something smaller than them.
 
Headphones are pretty small. Why burn $30 when you have headphones that you like and promedias in storage? It'll give you incentive to move out anyway. Or you can just use 2.1 out of your 5.1 set.
 
Headphones don't let me listen to music when I'm busy doing other things away from the computer.

I already said I need something smaller than the Klipsch's. I'm VERY limited in desk space. (Room's fairly small, compared to what I'm used to w/ my current apartment. So, I'll need a smaller desk...and I'll have the space taken up by: 1 20" LCD, 1 Shuttle, 2 laptops, a keyboard, a ratpadz, a wireless router, etc.)

moving out, I'll do after the school year. I don't want to commit to an apartment for a year when I don't plan on being here for more than 8-9 months. That, and when I move out, I'll be moving in with the girlfriend (or rather, we'd move in together, in some other town/state).
 
dude do you have a pic of your setup?


The Klipsch are like the size of a 2 coke cans each. I've never seen a desk that couldn't accomodate that
