Moving a RAID array from one controller to another

So I just built the system in my sig below. One of the best parts about it is the 558GB RAID10 array I'm running on the Si3114 controller on the motherboard. However, I've been thinking recently about the next time I upgrade. Say two years down the road I upgrade to a new motherboard. Will this RAID array be able to go from one controller to another without data loss, or am I going to have to build a new array from scratch? I'm sure this is a scenario someone here has run into before, so please weigh in :)

Thanks!

If you move to the same controller, probably yes; if it's a different controller, (almost) definitely no.
