Yeah here too...they overcharge like crazy in big cities though. I have paid 9-10 bucks for movie tickets before....truly amazing. Expect more in California lol.

I live in Kentucky, its usually 8.50 for the movies 4.00 for a large soda and 3.50 for the little boxes of goobers and snow-caps etc. its ridiculous.

in the atlanta areas it is $7-9.50 for a regular movie. we have an imax theater that is around $12 a seat, adult or child.

its $12.50 here in NY for a "director's hall" seat which includes an oversized leather chair and the ability to pick your seat when you purchase the ticket. definately worth it when you go to the theater 6 hrs before the movie starts, pick the prime location and then bypass the whole line 30 mins before the movie starts.

$5 is a heck of a deal!

Yeah, this is pretty hot, especially considering that matinee prices around NJ Lowes are $7.50; after tax, regular tickets are almost $10, crazy stuff. Too bad it’s not also valid on Sundays but thanks for the linkage, will definitely use this!

Damn, wish it was Regal. The Lowes theater here is do damn ghetto.. the seats are the same ones from when i was 5 years old.

AMC is the most expensive near me (SoCal) at $9. The bay area probably has some crazy ticket prices.

The most i ever paid to see a movie was in Canada. Stupid collapsed USD.

In Louisville, KY, its like around 7.50$, yet i heard they raised them again recently, so im thinking like 8.25$ for the theaters around me after like 5. But then like 4 - 5$ before 5pm.

I paid $4.25 for an adult ticket to go see King Kong last week, but that was at 1 PM in the afternoon. Tickets are a dollar or two more at night.

Here I am thinking that everyone is going to the hardware store to watch movies. Apparently, there aren't any Lowes Theatres in the St. Louis area. Shame, because tickets average $8.50 here. Good thing that I got the Entertainment coupon book. They have $6 ticket coupons for any showing at Regal & AMC (though AMC requires you to prebuy them).

What's that sound???? Oh yhea, it is the sound of me getting SHAFTED in the @$$ every time i go to the theater.... and the MPAA wonders why so many people pirate movies.

but yhea, $5 isn't too bad.The list of participating theaters is a little bit small though

Yeah, no Loews in Michigan (or at least where I am). This time, I only have to pay $5 for the movie, $20 for concessions, and get the annoying kids behind me, tall dude in front of me for only $25. YAY!

If it is an older theater it will be cheaper... The one at the Boston is very nice ish

Where the heck do you guys go to the movies? I pay $5.50 at almsot every theatre I go to. Just tell them you're a student and they usually take $2 off of a evening show. Doesn't work for matinees I believe.

yea but you live in the middle of nowhere

here around NYC theyre about 11 on long island about 9.75

Kerasotes theatres by me at $2.00 evening shows. Only open in the evenings. Thats where I went for most of my high school years to see movies :) Cheap and good enough.

It's about $9 here. My mom gets tickets for $5.50 through the hostpital that she works at.
