I was planning to upgrade my MB and was wondering how to move over my RAID array. Will the new RAID controller ID the array automatically, or do I need to do some setup (other than maybe install some new drivers for XP?). Simple RAID O.

To be on the safe side, I would backup your data with ghost, or something similar, and then try. That way, if it doesn't work, and your array is damaged....you can re-install, and still get to your data.

i agree with djines. it sounds like it *COULD* work, but i wouldn't count on it

unless you are migrating to the same onboard RAID controller
you chances arent good. sometimes controllers by the same manufacturer work, but going from a Promise to a Highpoint or Silicon Image youll be screwed
